Building on the proven flexibility and capability of the GIS Ethernet drive electronics platform, the HMB-DG allows the control of the Toshiba TEC CF3 600 dpi printhead, including print data management, waveform control and printhead diagnostics.

Individual Digital Head Boards (DHBs) provide connection of the HMB to each Toshiba TEC CF3 printhead. Using connector adaptor boards to connect the CF3 head to the DHB allows for a user-friendly installation and exchange of printheads within a print system.

Connectivity expansion modules – The GIS range of HMB expansion modules allow a choice of connecting encoders, product detect modules and drop watching systems to the HMB-DG boards. This can either be done directly for compact systems with the SEB-EPD, or via an SM-200 System Manager for greater design flexibility. In either case, software monitoring of the synchronisation signals will make it easier to commission new systems, and quicker to identify faults
