bul April 2008 - GIS Expand into Larger Offices

Global Inkjet Systems (GIS), the industrial inkjet specialists, are delighted to announce their move to new offices.

Having outgrown their first home at St John’s Innovation Centre, Cambridge, GIS has moved “across the hall”.

Since arriving as a new company only fifteen months ago, GIS has grown to the extent that they needed to double their existing floor space to accommodate their growing team and dedicated technology development areas.

Managing Director Nick Geddes says:” Although we knew that we had to find more office and laboratory space, we were reluctant to give up the great position we have at St John’s. When we were offered the chance to take on a larger unit on the same floor, it was an easy decision to make. “

Jim Brotton, GIS Technical Director, is equally satisfied, as the new unit has ample room for a spacious laboratory – something he and the team have needed for some time.

The move offers GIS scope for continued growth, whilst maintaining continuity for its customers and the company in this new phase of its development.

The GIS Inkjet Operating System was conceived and built as a single-source datapath solution. It will help printer manufacturers and inkjet developers save time and money when bringing new machines into production.

The Inkjet Operating System comprises electronics and software, and is designed to work with all commercially available industrial inkjet printheads.

The Cambridge, UK based company has established a broad international customer base and has a reputation for dedicated and focussed commitment to customer service.

bul February 2008 - FPGA Software Developer Joins GIS

The development team at Global Inkjet Systems (GIS) continues to grow, welcoming new member Damian Smith MSci - a specialist in FPGA.

After seven years working for a multinational aerospace company, Damian was ready for the challenges of a new sector and a much smaller organisation.

As part of the growing team at Global Inkjet Systems, the Cambridge Physics graduate is excited by the new opportunities to adapt his skills for industrial inkjet.

Damian channels his keen interest in education as a Trustee of Cosmos Education, a science education outreach charity.
