GIS Head Personality Boards for Xaar Printheads
The GIS Head Personality Board HPB-XR-C4 and HIB-XR-1001 are designed to provide communications between Xaar printheads and the GIS Print Manager Boards (PMB-C8/PMB-C2). They provide access to all standard printhead settings, including voltage trim, binary and greyscale mode ( 8 levels) and waveform settings.
GIS offers two Head Personality Boards:-
The GIS HPB-XR-C4 connects to up to four Xaar Head Personality Cards (HPC). It provides the Xaar HPC with all of its power requirements via a single power connector. The HPB-XR-C4 requires a 30V power supply.

The GIS HIB-XR-1001 is designed specifically for the Xaar 1001 printhead and eliminates the need for the Xaar HPC. One HIB-XR-1001 is required for each Xaar 1001 printhead and requires a 24V power supply.
- The HIB-XR-1001-3 has exactly the same form factor as the Xaar HPC
