What do we do?GIS was founded in 2006 by Nick Geddes and is an independent, privately owned business with its headquarters in Cambridge, UK. We are a leading developer of software and drive electronics. Our products drive thousands of inkjet printheads in single pass and scanning systems worldwide.
GIS supports a wide range of printheads including FUJIFILM Dimatix, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Toshiba Tec and Xaar. The capability to drive new printheads is being developed all the time, so if you do not find information on the web site about the printhead you need, please contact us to discuss.
We provide a complete solution for inkjet system developers. There is no need to source software from one supplier and electronics from another – we offer a complete package.
Who do we work with?
We sell direct to OEMs, machine builders, ink manufacturers and system integrators for inkjet applications such as textiles, label printing, wide format, coding & marking, mailing, product decoration, packaging, ceramic tiles, glass, laminates, security printing and materials deposition. Our customers integrate our software and electronics as the core of their industrial inkjet products and as a platform for rapid product development.
What are our products?
We have developed a single scalable platform for driving a wide range of inkjet printheads. The core of the platform is the GIS Print Manager Board, which enables our customers to switch printhead technology, using the appropriate GIS Head Personality Board.
This enables our customers to change printhead technology and also to implement the latest printheads or upgrades quickly and efficiently.
